JAC Against Anti-Tribal Bills to hold talks with Manipur govt led by N Biren Singh

Imphal, Mar 29 (PTI) : The Joint Action Committee Against Anti Tribal Bill (JACAATB) will hold talks with the N Biren Singh government regarding the demands of the tribal people, the spokesperson of the JACAATB said today.

The JAC AATB held a consultative meeting with the public to decide whether to attend Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s request for a meeting to bury the eight bodies of people killed while protesting the passage of three bills by the state assembly in August, 2015, still lying at Churachandpur District Hospital, JACAATB, Spokesperson Sangboi, told reporters here.

He said the meeting decided hold talk with the N Biren Singh government to press the demands of the tribal people based on the desire of the civil society organisations like extension of 6th Schedule of Indian Constitution in Churachandpur district of Manipur.

Itanagar March 28:
An Arunachal Pradesh Congress leader was shot dead by the son of the state assembly’s deputy speaker Tumke Bagra at Aalo in West Siang district, the police said on Monday.

Kenjum Kamsi, a secretary-rank leader of Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) was shot dead by Kajum Bagra, the son of the deputy speaker, in front of a hotel at Aalo last night at around 10 pm, said West Siang superintendent of police Mari Riba.

The incident was reportedly a fallout of a scuffle between the two, he said adding the matter is being probed further. The accused along with the arm was arrested by Aalo police and a case registered, Riba said.

Written Examination: There are two papers in the UPSC CPF Written Exam.

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
Paper I consists of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type questions and questions will be set in English as well as Hindi. There is negative mark will be cut for each wrong answer.

Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks
In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be in English.

NOTE: There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each papers as may be fixed by the commission in their discretion. Paper I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
